Water, stock, or wine can be used to reconstitute the dried mushrooms. simmer mushrooms in 1 cup liquid for 20 minutes in a covered pan. strain the mushroom- flavored broth through a coffee filter and use to replace an equal amount of the liquid ingredients in any recipe. rinse the rehydrated mushrooms. slice, and add to your recipe for additional gourmet taste.
